Hey, I'm Steph — the artist behind Chaos On Canvas.

Since I was a kid, I wanted to be an artist. But every adult in my life told me the same thing: it's not realistic, choose something safer. So I compromised and went into film. I spent 4 years working as an AD and VFX coordinator, and I genuinely love it. I'm still very much active in the industry.

But the 2023 strikes were a wake-up call. Nothing in this industry is guaranteed — and if you want to sustain a career in film, you have to diversify. So I stopped waiting and finally pursued the dream I'd been shelving since childhood.

For me, art has always been therapy. Painting is how I process what I feel — the chaos, the uncertainty, the joy. It's where everything makes sense.

Chaos On Canvas is that dream made real. Bold, abstract, unapologetic art made by someone who's still on set and finally letting herself be an artist too.

You can love more than one thing. Turns out the adults were wrong.
